Welcome to Chez Augros, rural gîtes in South West France. Nestled in the tranquil countryside of the Charente Maritime, between Cognac and Bordeaux, is our beautifully renovated farmhouse, offering one-, two- and four-bedroomed gîtes with a shared swimming pool.
Located between La Rochelle and Bordeaux, close to Cognac, Saintes and Angouleme, and only 45 minutes from the glorious sandy beaches of the Atlantic coastline, we are ideally located for anyone who wants to explore this unspoiled area.
We have a total of 8 bedrooms in four gîtes, which can be combined to create flexible holiday accommodation for larger groups.

Who are we ?
We are Ian & Lisa Elsey, and we live here at Chez Augros in the small village of Vibrac in Charente Maritime with our two daughters, Katrina and Rebecca who go to school locally. We moved here in 2005, when the farmhouse was in need of near-total renovation, and, apart from the electrical and plumbing work, we have done everything ourselves.
We enjoy welcoming visitors to our lovely home, and are proud of the beautiful place where we live. We are confident that you will find lots of things to do and see here, if you wish to. We can assure you that the amount of activity on your holiday is your choice, but the rest and relaxation is here waiting for you.
